Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are a working draft, shared for transparency. They have not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and are not final or binding. A reviewed version will replace this draft before it governs any paid or binding relationship.
These Terms describe the agreement between you and HeartTech Soulutions LLC ("HeartTech Soulutions," "we," "us") when you use the UsOS™ platform and related services. Please read them; by using the service, you agree to them.
Who we are
HeartTech Soulutions LLC is a limited liability company established in North Carolina, USA. We build and operate the UsOS™ platform. The Heart of Peace Foundation is our mission partner and promoter; it is not a party to this agreement.
Your account
You need an account to use most of the platform. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Service tiers
UsOS™ is offered on three footings. Mission-aligned nonprofits and Certified Peace Houses receive full platform access at no cost, funded by our commercial partners. Businesses can try the platform free for fourteen days with no credit card required. After the trial, continued business use is a paid subscription. This free-nonprofit and paid-business structure is the model itself, not a promotion — commercial subscriptions fund nonprofit access.
Acceptable use
Use the platform for lawful purposes and in good faith. Don't attempt to breach security, disrupt the service, access data that isn't yours, upload malware, or use it to harm others. We may suspend access that puts the platform or other users at risk.
Your content and data
The information you and your organization put into UsOS™ remains yours. You grant us the limited permission we need to store, process, and display it so we can provide the service. We don't claim ownership of your data, and we don't sell it.
Our intellectual property
The UsOS™ platform, the HeartTech Soulutions™ name, and our related marks and software belong to us or our licensors. These Terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the service as intended.
Fees and payment
Paid business subscriptions are billed as described at signup. Nonprofit access is free. We'll be clear about what any paid plan costs before you commit to it, and about how billing and cancellation work.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the platform reliable, but we provide it "as is." We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeartTech Soulutions is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken or if the law requires it. We'll give reasonable notice where we can, and let you retrieve your data where it's practical to do so.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts of North Carolina, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We'll update these Terms as the platform grows. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and make a reasonable effort to tell you before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
